Smart Engine Set with Action Tunnels by BRIO is one of the gems of railway toys! It’s fun, interactive, full of little surprises, and kids get to do their easy “coding” determining “what comes next” to the train engine by moving the smart action tunnels around the track. 

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) Smart, Smart, Smart: it is full of cleverness! The battery-powered Smart Tech Engine has control buttons at the top. The platform has a switcher for the signal to “instruct” the train to stop or move. There are also three action tunnels that can either activate sound, change the direction of the train, or stop the engine. We can plan ahead and watch how the train passes each tunnel and complies with the “commands”. 

(2) Sounds and Lights: I also love the realistic railway sounds: the horning and honking of the train, the “noise” coming from a busy platform, train announcement at the stop, the braking sound, the brassy bell etc. The train engine also has blinking lights when running on the track. This toy is bringing a railway into life! 

(3) Quality: Anything Brio is quality guaranteed with over 130 years of reputable history behind. Brio Toys are durable and timeless. All Brio set is compatible with each other, and can be played together to form a miniature city and transport system. My kids love this set and had loads of fun playing with this toy!

Who would love this: Mini number lovers 

Monster Math Scale by Hape - this toy is cute, cute, cute! My four year old loves using it to find the “perfect” balance; my 1 year-old has no idea what mathematics means yet, but she loves watching the monster’s hands move and tilt from one side to the other every time when a weight is added or removed. 

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) Impeccable Weight Detection: the detection of weight is almost impeccable! The scale comes with colourful little monster weights, each represents a number with a corresponding weight. Doing mathematics like adding and subtracting becomes extremely fun when you have an accurate scale telling you the correct answer! When the weight number is equal on both sides, the monster hands swing up and down until they get to the perfect balance point. I find the accuracy pretty impressive. 

(2) Its Cuteness: the cute monster - just look at the cheeky adorable face. Enough said! 

(3) Quality and Light-Weight- I also love that the scale is light-weight, but looks durable, made of quality and child-safe materials.
