It’s not every day that a toy comes along that challenges both hand-eye coordination and physical skill, so when TOSSIT reached out with the chance to review their exciting TOSSIT Game Original Starter Pack, I couldn’t wait to dive in! I’m thrilled to see how much enjoyment the kids can have while sharpening their speed and precision!

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) 1 Black Jack Dart + 6 Darts In Two Colours

This set includes 1 black Jack dart, 6 Tossit darts in two colors, and a carrying bag. The game is a fun mix of pétanque and darts, where players take turns tossing their darts to get as close as possible to the Jack (a special Tossit dart). Each team has 3 darts, and the goal is to reach 13 points. The team with the closest Tossit to the Jack wins the round and scores a point for every dart closer than the opponent’s closest. The winning team throws the Jack for the next round, keeping the action moving!

The best part about these darts is the variety of ways to play! Tossit offers fun alternatives, and my kids have come up with their own wild ideas. I love how the game gets them off screens and into active play. You can try Battle mode, where players race to score 21 points with speed and accuracy, or Tic-Tac Dart, a colorful twist on classic tic-tac-toe. There’s also Stick & Reach mode, challenging kids to see how high they can stick darts to a wall, and Rainbow Ring mode for creative color and shape designs!

It’s not an everyday thing that we get to test out impressive cool drones with cutting-edge features. I was NERVOUS like a child meeting Santa when I received this Avatar RC Deluxe Banshee from Zing Toys. Equipped with “integrated bionics, aerodynamics, and precision machinery technology” - this toy provides loads of incredible fun! 

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) Realistic & Bird-Like Flying Movement - How can anyone resist this gorgeous, dragon-like banshee from the visually-stunning Avatar? What captured me immediately is the realistic and rapid wings-flapping movement. It feels natural, bird-like, amazingly real. It replicates the flying motion of a bird - it soars through the air in perfect straight-line, circles gracefully, makes a U-turn in beautiful agility, maintains its altitude (with either height limit mode or free-to-play mode), elegantly avoids obstacles with its 6-axis sensor, and can travel up to 200ft away. I love the complex azure blue appearance and intricate patterns that uniquely belongs to this majestic creature from Pandora. 

(2) Easy To Control - I was genuinely surprised when I saw my six-year-old gently tossed and controlled the movement of the banshee with such ease. I didn’t expect to see so many thrilling tricks, all within the command of a few buttons - speed adjustment of flapping-wings, roaring sound-effect, changing of directions, “emergency” landing, and many other manoeuvres. The greatest thing is - we get to run around outdoor (yes, exercise!), chasing the banshee and picking it up from wherever it landed. 

(3) Light Weight & Durable - The Banshee is light-weight, with slightly pliable frame for the wings, adjustable tail (for manual speed adjustment), and kite-like soft fabric feature to withstand multiple “crashing” or any aggressive play. Our flying practices involve many uncontrolled downward-divings, and we can testify the durability of this toy. 

(4) Rechargeable Batteries - Included within are 2 lithium batteries, USB charger, remote-control, and a mini screwdriver. I love that the Banshee battery is rechargeable (fully recharge within 20 minutes) and provides around 10 minutes of flight time each time. I also love the minimalist cardboard box.

Bamboo Construct & Roll, By Expore Nook - REVIEW

We love dynamic constructions toys involving rolling balls. They are like a personalised playground of our own - offering boundless possibilities and exciting outcomes. “Bamboo Construct & Roll” from Explore Nook is probably one of the most open-ended ball-run sets I have ever seen. I’m loving how it encourages imaginative play and creativity in such unrestrained way! 

Why I love ❤️ it?: 

(1) Design & Construct - Included within are 8 ramp channels, 6 tubular stands, 4 base stands, and 4 upper stands. When I first saw this toy in the website, I wasn’t too sure how the pieces can stay together during a ball-run. I was delighted to discover the little “secrets” behind it - all the tubes and curvy stands are thoughtfully crafted with dowel pegs and holes, so we can simply push and wriggle and connect the pieces. I’m impressed with how sturdy the construction result is; the pieces attached tightly together, and the ramp tracks lean on the upper stands comfortably. The illustrated guide suggests a “basic construction” form, using different number of tubes for height adjustment to create a continuous and descending ramp. But of course, the kids’ imagination always travels beyond the “basic”. They modified the angles and directions, built-up tunnels, “mixed it up” with other loose parts and blocks, and wanted to explore the interaction between the momentum of a fast-rolling ball and spinning wheel. 

(2) Compactly-Packed - The completed structure might seem massive, but once we disconnect the separate pieces, they can be compactly and conveniently packed into a reasonable-size box for easy portability. 

(3) Open-Ended Ball Run Track - The set goes well with anything that “rolls”, including the “3 Large-Sized Wooden Balls” set from Explore Nook (which allows us to test out the varying force, motion, sound, and action produced by 3 sizes of balls). 

(4) Natural Bamboo Material - Each piece is made of 100% natural bamboo that possesses unique DNA and character of its own. The tubular stands have slight differences in diameter and height. The ramp channels have its personal shades and inimitable markings. They are light weight and sustainable, designed in Australia and beautifully-crafted in Vietnam.

The “Eco Hut & Water Wheel” from Explore Nook is probably the most enchanting open-play resources I have ever seen! It’s beautifully-crafted with meticulous design, versatile and clever, a fantastic toy for any kids with BIG imagination and passionate curiosity! 

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) Discovering The Beauty Of Water - This irresistible package includes a double-storey Eco Hut with water channel attached to the roof, removable water funnel, mini water wheel with separable stand, and a wooden stairs. The pieces are easy to set-up; we are mesmerised by the movement and simple chain reaction created by the nature of water. We watch water descending the spiralling funnel in elegant circular motion, before it gently touches the channel and glides its way to the edge in unimpeded swiftness. It then slips through the tiny gap and flows down in quick speed, giving the wheel a vital push and strong spin! We love exploring, experimenting and experiencing the beauty of water with this beautiful toy! 

(2) Wooden Eco Hut - I love the creative combination of eco hut and water play into one single set! I can’t stop admiring the simple and minimalist architectural design, hints of vintage feel, completes with detailed crafting for some unique touches. I absolutely love the exciting parallel ridges and grooves texture on the facade wall and roof. The kids brought out our Fairies & Gnomes Finger Puppet Set from Tara Treasures and created their imaginative world with “giant” rotating water wheel, eccentric miniature characters, big round “chimney” (or water tank), removable stairs, and double-levelled Eco hut! 

(3) Quality Material - I love the wooden material. Explore Nook products are made of sustainably-sourced timber, each with its own inimitable DNA and natural prints, finished with smooth artisan craftsmanship of impressive quality. This is a sturdy, durable, and lovingly-made,  heirloom-quality toy that would stay for a long, long time.

Who would love this: Parents and Kids who love to spend more time in nature + art & craft lovers!   

Refreshing scent of lavender, playful puff of dandelions, gorgeous greenness of field. We did our weekend walk on Sunday, along the familiar nature path, listening to the whisper of breeze and songs of the river. We also brought along two ”Round Nature Weaving Frames” recently sent to us by Explore Nook . It was a truly serene afternoon where we discovered the joy of nature weaving. 

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) Weaving Activity Using Materials From Nature - I never knew how calming and beautifully “quiet” a weaving activity is. The kids love the idea of gathering and accumulating materials belonging to the nature - golden brown fallen leaves, yellow wildflowers with soft stems, long bendy grasses, tree barks, ferns, thin sticks. They were thrilled, excited, ran around with joy whilst exploring their potential weaving materials. I love watching them instinctively creating their piece of artworks and experimenting using treasures found in the nature, carefully weaving strands of grass through the strings and sprinkling  pop of colours on top of them. The concentration, the haphazardness, the imperfections, and the sweet happiness. I’m truly grateful and humble by the experience 

(2) Round & Large Frame - The round frame has a relatively large diameter of 60cm, a huge surface of “canvas” for pure magic to happen. The gaps between the strings are wide enough for stalks of plant, thick branches, or even huge fallen leaves to be inserted; but the gaps are also narrow enough to keep these natural materials in place. I love the roundness of the frame, which instantly sets itself apart from the traditional rectangular weaving loom that emphasises on symmetry and meticulousness. A round weaving frame encourages free-style process - there is no strict rules about where to start or how to get it done. There is no “right” way of doing this, and THIS, is where the true beauty lies! 

(3) Light Weight - Handmade from natural sea grass, I love how delightfully light-weight the frames are! Each of them weighs 35g (probably as light as a slice of bread). They are portable, can be easily lifted up by small kids, and perfect to be brought along for an outdoor nature walk!

We are in love with its versatility and quality craftsmanship! 

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) Outdoor Play- We love that it is an outdoor toy! We get to be a little messy and chaotic when testing out the toy and immerse ourselves in an open-ended beach play while discovering the potential and fluidity of water. The set includes 3 wooden channels, 3 chunky wooden blocks for height adjustment, and a wooden funnel. We love how the three channels, blocks and funnel can be attached to each other using the concept of “hole and dowel”. I love how we can design and construct our unique watercourses in different angles, directions, and heights using these versatile tools. We love our experiments, investigations, and stories behind our creations.

(2) Beautiful & Unique Design - I love the thoughtful and meticulous design. Each of the three channels are crafted differently; one has rounded grooves which create tiny friction to the flow of water, another has a protruded middle line that splits the water into two separate paths before leading them back to a single point, and a third “unobstructed” smooth channel. The funnel is crafted artistically in descending circular movement leading to the bottom. We love watching the water pouring downwards in circular motion through the funnel, and slowly guiding itself through the channels, one at a time. They are so aesthetically pleasing and functional at the same time. 

(3) Wooden Material We love the wooden material; the toy is made of sustainable approved pine wood. I love that each of the pieces is printed with their unique DNA and retains the natural character of the wood. The craftsmanship is nicely done with smooth surfaces. They are “made by nature” toy that meets quality control and stimulate curiosity. 

(4) Compatible- The set goes well with the “Wooden Water and Sand Wheel” set, also from Explore Nook.

It’s a process that constantly fascinates us! Explore Nook sent us this “Wooden Water And Sand Wheel” recently, and we are absolutely loving how a simple device can incorporate so much science and amazing theories! 

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) So Many Different Ways To Play- I love how versatile this toy is! The set comes with a cleverly-designed stand, removable wheel and a funnel; a simple tool to explain complex engineering terms to young kids in a visualised and interesting way. We tested it out with fine-grain sand, with cascading water, and 100 cute translucent “gummy bear” counters. The kids skipped with joy watching the fast rotating movement generated when different types of material poured and rush downwards, touching the vertical wheel and sending it into a quick spin! The fact that the funnel can be removed means the kids get to investigate and experiment the potential of this toy with other bigger items, like chickpeas, coffee beans, marbles, wood chips, and you-name-it! This is a delightful learning resource that is fun to play with and thrilling to watch! This toy is educational, relevant, and a potential “power machine” in a simplified and unassuming form. 

(2) Wooden Material- We love the sustainably sourced, durable and quality wooden material! This is a beautiful toy designed by an Australian Early Childhood Teacher and crafted in Vietnam. I love the meticulous craftsmanship and the emphasis on natural resources. 

(3) Open-Ended- This is one of those open-ended toys that can be played indoor and outdoor. The wheel is a perfect tool for backyard muddy-play, a fun beach toy for a sunny excursion, a cool device for messy water play in nature, or a stay-at-home companion on a Melbourne-insane-weather day.

I’m blown away by the ingenuity of the design. Thank you Kingdom Playroom for gifting one to us so that I can share this inspiring product with my amazing followers! 

Why I love ❤️ this clever activity table? 

(1) Compatible with Lego/ Duplo building blocks- Carry-Play comes with two reversible table tops that are compatible respectively with standard Lego and Duplo / Mega bricks . When the kids realised the building bases can be set up vertically, they decided to “elevate” their Duplo play experience (like, literally). We built a hanging pet shop, dangerous flying slide, upside down bus station, and strange “floating” truck. It was a “bizarre” and unexpected fun play! 

(2) Storage compartments / sensory bins - The table tops can be removed, revealing two large storage compartments / sensory play bins / mini experiment labs/ [insert other crazy activities with kids]. Our almost 2-year-old Miss B loves this wooden dump truck by Moover Toys. It’s small enough to be brought around for outdoor fun, yet sturdy enough for young kids to ride on and travel around like a real cool rider. 

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) Ride-able Truck- I love that the cabin and trailer are attached in such a way to allow the truck to be steered and turned easily. Miss B had great fun riding this and changing direction from left to right and left again. 

(2) The Materials- the truck is made of veneer plywood, looks durable, and I love the natural wood colour (there is also a selection of red or blue design if you prefer something brighter). 

(3) Storage Compartment- the trailer has a ”secret” compartment for storage. The kids can pretend to be a little delivery rider or “Santa” with a truck. 

(4) Easy Assembling Without Need of Tools- the toys came in a flat pack and can be assembled without using any tools. There is also a video in YouTube that shows the process of putting the parts together. 

I love how pretty and cute this little truck looks.
