Clicks - Retractable Markers 10, by Crayola - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Innovatie retractable marker pens

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  3 year-old ++

Who would love this: Parents who have enough of missing marker caps, and desperately need a smart solution!

We have a large “tool-box” chest fills with felt-tip pens of all brands and types. We love our coloured art markers, but we hate missing caps and dried-out waste. Hence, I am super grateful when Crayola provided us this “ Clicks - Retractable Markers 10” for a review. These markers are such eye-opener, and it’s probably our current favourite art pens. If you find missing caps and messy stains annoying, this product is FOR YOU!

Why I love ❤️ this set:

(1) Click To Use, Retractable Pens - Anyone else habitually enjoys clicking a ballpoint pen and obsesses with the rhythmic sound of retractable pen? I love how Crayola combines the wisdom of cap-less pens in traditional art markers. This set includes 10 retractable markers - simply click and push the button at the end of the pen downwards to extend the nib. In other words - no more incidents of misplaced caps, consequential dried-up ink, and unfortunate wastage. I love that the tips can stay fresh and last a little longer within the protective barrels. If your kids are like mine who just can’t keep their marker caps in order, these clicking pens would be a game changer and a great value product to invest in!

(2) Chunky & Durable Pen Barrels - The barrels of the pens are slightly chunkier than many classic marker pens. The clickable buttons are also longer in length compared to the common retractable pens. They are easy to be handled and manipulated by little hands (my four-year-old has no issue clicking and using the pens). I’m loving how mess-less and child-friendly the design is.

(3) Bright Quality Ink - As per usual Crayola standard, the ink is vibrant, strong, and deliver richly beautiful results. I also love that this set is “washable” - ie the ink can be easily washed or wiped-off from skin, clothing and most surfaces. The conical tips also allow us to control the thickness of the lines, making these pens a truly versatile product (be it colouring in large areas or doing measured thin lines or dots).

(4) 10 Colours - This set includes a good basic 10 colours - Red, Orange, Marigold, Blue, Violet, Magenta, Turquoise Surf, Green, Brown and Black colours. These are some awesome selection of colours for casual or serious artworks!

Color Wonder, Mess Free Coloring - Bluey, by Crayola - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Bluey colouring sheets with "magic" markers

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  3 year-old ++

Who would love this: Bluey fans / And parents who are looking for mess-free & travel-friendly activities

Spending time with our little munchkins is fun, BUT sometimes, we just need that few moments of peaceful “break”, and that’s when we truly appreciate activity sets such as this “Crayola Color Wonder, Mess Free Coloring - Bluey” kit. Crayola recently provided this set to us as part of the Parentfluencer program, and I’m so happy to be joining this Crayola-loving community!

Why I love ❤️ it:

(1) Mess-Free Color Wonder Markers - The most exciting feature of this product? Hands down, the NO MESS and non-toxic Color Wonder Markers!  I’m used to the aftermath of chaotic and messy arts. In fact, scrubbing paints and getting rid of marker stains are part and parcel of our parenting experience. 😅 BUT, that doesn’t mean I enjoy the cleaning. That’s when Crayola Color Wonder steps in to take away the stress! The ink appears to be clear and invisible, and it doesn’t show up on most surfaces - skin, clothes, furniture, rug etc. But when you apply the markers on the “Colour Wonder” sheets, the colours come to life within seconds! This experience wasn’t entirely “new” to us (we have used similar products before in the past), but the charm is still there; our girl was thrilled and kept screaming “it’s magic!”.

(2) 18 Color Wonder Sheets - The activity set includes 18 Color Wonder Pages featuring the fun adventures from the well-loved TV show Bluey, including “Queen Bingo” and her spectacular Crown and magnifying glass, Bluey Mum (Chilli) with her hockey stick, family portrait, camping adventure, and the “Keepy Uppy” balloon. Our favourite sheet is the one depicting Bluey, Muffin, Sock, and Bingo having terrific time enjoying popsicles!

(3) Special Hidden Surprises - I love the surprises “hidden” at the background of each colouring sheet. Once we applied the markers, the “secret” items revealed: flowers, fluffy feathers, stars, wavy lines, balloons or even delicious popsicles!

(4) Travel-Friendly - I love the convenient “foldalope” packaging that works as reusable storage for the colouring pages and markers. This set is perfect for road trips!

Having said that, I wish the set can come with more markers. 5 pens are nice as a “starter” for small toddlers, but probably not stimulating enough for kids age 3 and above.
