My First Dice - Soft Blue & Soft Mint, By Jellystone Designs - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Silicone dice

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  9 month-old ++

Who would love this: Small kids exploring the magic of numbers

I’m a big fan of Jellystone Designs silicone sensory toys - they are irresistibly squishy and squashy, encourage open-ended play, versatile and stimulating! Today, I would like to share about “My First Dice - Soft Blue & Soft Mint”. Seriously, how CUTE are these dice!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) 2 Dice With Numbers & Images - “My First Dice” comes in a pack of 2 dice, each in the dimension of 6x6x6 cm. I love the adorable and chunky size - they are fun to hold and even funner to throw. The blue dice has numeral symbols 1 to 6 on each face, and I love the thoughtful tiny mark included at the bottom right of each of the number (which can help kids to identify the orientation of each numeral). For example, there is a small dot next to the lower part of number “6”, and a tiny square at the bottom right of “4”. The other dice in soft mint has a number of shapes on each face (matching the number 1 to 6), for example, “5” is represented by image of five triangles, “2” by two 5-sided pentagons, and “3” by three stars. There are so many ways to use these dice - roll them around and knock something down, play hopscotch with them, match up the symbols and the number of shapes, count the numbers, play a game of classic “snake and ladder”, or simply create new games with these multi-purpose dice!

(2) Tactile Images - The images on the surfaces are tactile in nature (slightly raised), providing an additional layer of sensory experience! These dice are soft enough for chewing, but sturdy enough to stay in their original cube shape. The cubes are durable and watertight - perfect for playdough, water, or any sensory activities!

(3) Beautiful Colours - I have been provided with the “Soft Blue & Soft Mint” dice for review. But like many Jellystone products, these dice also come in other colour ranges - “Bubblegum and Peach”, “Blush and Snow”, and “Sage and Berry”. There is sure a range that would capture your heart!

(4) Safe Material - Jellystone products are crafted using FDA approved, dishwasher-safe, toxic-free silicone. They are free from nasties (BPA, PVC & Phthalates), and in compliance with Australian standard for toy safety. I love that these dice are safe to go in bubs mouth and in bath.

Balloon Colour Sorter - Rainbow Bright, By Jellystone Designs - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Wooden board with silicone puzzle pieces

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  9 month-old ++

Who would love this: Young kids that love rainbow & sensory/ playdough activities

I love toys that can be used in multiple creative ways. Jellystone Designs has a range of originally-designed silicone range that fits this criteria perfectly. I’m grateful for the chance to review this “Balloon Colour Sorter - Rainbow Bright” - another sensory play item with lots of fun and BIG potential!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) Vibrantly Colourful Balloons Puzzle - This toy has the loveliest graphic design that touches the nostalgic sentiment of the parents and captures the hearts of the kids. On the wooden base, there is an adorable baby elephant (that reminds me of Dumbo from Disney but minus the enormous ears) with soft shade of grey and a little hint of sweet pink on its ears, cheeks and toes. Held and entangled tightly around the trunk is a bunch of 7 balloons in vibrant rainbow colour hue - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. (If you prefer something of a gentler shade, Jellystone Designs also has a “Rainbow Pastel” version with “sweet baby colours”). Each of the balloon has a removable silicone piece (with corresponding colours as the balloons illustrations). I love the chunky, ergonomically-designed gripper on these silicone tops - it’s fun for kids to train up their pincer grasp skill whilst doing colour-matching activity. Super cute!

(2) Textural Design - The silicone pieces have textural footprints on the base - some looks like prints left behind by kittens, some are probably traces of little goslings. The footprints come in pairs; either in 4, 6 or 8 marks. They can be used in any sensory, messy or playdough activities! We used it with the gorgeously scented Play Sense dough from the The Kid Cave - the stamps made such a lovely collection of “footprints” cookies that we can’t wait to “bake” in our pretend oven.

(3) Wooden Base - I love the wooden, sturdy puzzle base made of FSC responsibly sourced basswood. There is also a cotton tote bag included for easy storage!

(4) FDA Approved Silicone - The product is made of child-friendly, FDA approved silicone. They are safe and toxic-free material. The silicone tops are chewable, and can be cleaned using a steriliser, placed in a dishwasher or washed with warm soapy water.

Over The Rainbow, By Jellystone Designs - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Silicone rainbow stackers

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  9 month-old ++

Who would love this: Parents who are looking for good quality and versatile silicone toys for their little ones

Jellystone Designs has a range of exciting silicone toys, and I’m in love with their vibrantly colourful and appealing style. Each of the products are addictively squishy and squashy, perfect for sensory discovery. Have you heard of the latest “Over The Rainbow” silicone arches? I can’t wait to tell you more about this simply irresistible new comer!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) 5 Unique Rainbow Arches - “Over The Rainbow” is made up of 5 arches of different sizes and colours. I love the unique and unseen-before curvy and rounded design that immediately sets this toy apart from the conventional rainbow stackers in market. Each of the stacker is wide and short, and can be perfectly “nestled” on another in ascending order to form a delightfully balanced 5-tiered rainbow. But I think the real magic happens when we “separate” the rainbow - we can decorate our enchanted world with the individual arches, we can balance them on top of each other, we can use them as bath toys, create beautiful prints on playdough, or simply flip the arches around and turn them into 5 rocking hammocks for our fairy and gnome friends! I love the open-ended concept and versatility of this toy!

(2) Garden-Theme Design - I love the garden-theme! The biggest green arch has bees-buzzing pattern; the blue arch has images of wiggly worm, snail and tomato. The purple medium arch contains weather-related symbols: sun, cloud, breezy lines, and raindrops. The orange arch is decorated with lovely floral images; and the smallest yellow arch is adorably adorned with pictures of bird, ladybird, and butterfly. All the garden-related images are tactile in nature and provides an additional layer of sensory experience!

(3) Awesome Colours Range - “Over The Rainbow” comes in a selection of colours range; “Rainbow Bright” for those who love stunning and bold colours; “Rainbow Pastel” for those that prefer something sweet and soothing, and “Earth” for those who are looking for something unusual.

(4) Safe Silicone Material - Jellystone products are crafted using FDA approved, dishwasher-safe, toxic-free silicone. They are free from nasties (BPA, PVC & Phthalates), and in compliance with Australian standard for toy safety.

Simply awesome!

Blink Owl Clock, By Le Toy Van - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Clock toy for toddlers

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  12 month-old ++

Who would love this: This is a cute first "clock" for toddlers - I think any kids between 1 to 3 year-old would love it.

I have seen Le Toy Van and its beautiful range appearing in many social media posts and toy store websites before; their wooden collection always gives me that warm, homely and fuzzy feeling. This adorable Blink Owl Clock is the first Le Toy Van that I have ever held in my hands. Suffice to say, I’m in love.

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) Moveable Clock Hands + Adorable Owl Design - This sweet powdery blue owl belongs to the “Petilou” range designed specifically for infants and toddlers. I love how aesthetically pleasing this little standing clock is. The owl looks demurely gentle, with a circular numbered clock at its rounded chest. I love the bright stunning colours of each of the protruded numbers; red, pink, bright orange and a lighter yellowish orange. The two clock hands are moveable and can be rotated around and around by little hands. It’s a beautiful toy to learn about numbers and colours differentiation.

(2) "Spin-able" Eyes - I love the “opening and closing eyes” feature. The two eyes can be turned over to reveal either a pair of curious-looking, highly-alert side-glancing eyes; or closed eyelids in preparation of a dreamy sleep. We can also give the two eyes a quick spin to create some exciting eye-blinking effects. I love the  overall simplicity of the design with added fun and educational feature that teaches kids about day/ night and “bedtime”.

(3) Wooden Material - Like many other Le Toy Van range, this owl clock is made of durable, sustainable rubberwood, decorated with non-toxic paints. It is a lovingly crafted piece of toy that is safe for young kids and of heirloom quality.

(4) Colours - I also really love the deliberate gender-neutral colour scheme of the toy.

Bear in mind however that the Petilou collection is designed for toddlers; so our little people will probably outgrow these toys pretty fast. My two-year-old loves touching and exploring the moveable parts of the owl occasionally, but my five-year-old is not interested in it at all. Also, the rather short and tiny clock hands might not be the easiest thing for adults to manage, although our little people will be able to navigate this toy at ease.

I’m eager to find out more about Le Toy Van.

Flipsee, By Mobi - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Alphabet board with silicone flaps

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  12 month-old ++

Who would love this: Young kids that want a little "companion" + parents looking for a visually appealing words/ alphabet learning tool

Thanks to Divisible by Zero , we recently discovered Flipsee from Mobi - a sturdy alphabet board that has quickly become our Little Missy’s trusted and faithful companion. Not only that it is visually-appealing with bright and attractive colours, Flipsee also incorporates tactile elements for sensory exploration and provides a creative way for alphabet learning!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) Features 26 Alphabet Letters + Flaps - This azure blue alphabet board is a delightful friend to our three-year-old girl - it calms her on moody days, soothes her during restless moments, and brings smile to us all, day-to-day. The board features 26 alphabet letters in both upper and lower case, each with its own liftable flap that gives us a glimpse of animals/ objects associated with the letters. It reminds me of a cheeky game of Peek-a-Boo, and an adorable “lift-the-flap” book. I absolutely love the sensory silicone material of these 26 bright and colourful “windows”. I like the clever touches on the design that make the flaps really easy to be opened and closed by little hands.

(2) Letter & Word Correlation - Each flap, when lifted, reveals an animal that starts with the letter (“A” for “Alligator”, “B” for “Bear”, and “C” for “Camel” etc), with the name of the animals printed beneath the picture. Once the kids get familiar with the animals, they can take the challenge a step further by identifying the additional object in the picture that starts with the same letter, e.g. a “gorilla” strumming a “guitar”, a “hedgehog” with his “Hula Hoop”, and an “octopus” holding an “orange” etc. This is an awesome learning tool for object recognition,  and letter / word correlation.

(3) Shape-Learning - At the reverse of the board are 8 colourful shapes, each labelled with the name of the shape (circle, square, triangle, hexagon, oval, rectangle, heart, and star). I love that each of the shape is surrounded by a unique pattern of raised border for an additional textural touch.

(4) Light Weight + Handle - The board is light weight and thoughtfully designed with an easy-to-hold handle. I also love the calming non-primary colours range of the flaps - fuchsia pink, light orange, soft lawn green, and sweet turquoise.

Pat Bells, By PlayMe Toys - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Musical instrument

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  12 month-old ++

Who would love this: This is a great first + quality instrument for young kids to explore music in a fun and colour-coded way.

I have been eyeing these lovingly-crafted Pat Bells from PlayMe Toys (designed and made in Taiwan) for a while. They are such joy to look at, and wait till you hear that enchanting and out-of-the-world sounds reverberated movingly from these little instruments. It’s pure surreal.

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) Eight Individual Bells - The Pat Bells come in eight individual bells made of iron and mounted in beech timber stands. Each of the bell represents a note from the C Major tones. The bells can be arranged in ascending order in accordance with the rainbow colours spectrum: red, orange, yellow, green, sky blue, darker blue, indigo, (and back to red for the higher C note). The bells generate loud and crisp sounds, beautifully resonated when we pat on the wooden knobs. There are plenty of songs that can be played with this eight-note octave: from famous nursery rhymes like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Mary Has a Little Lamb, Jingle Bells, to classic such as Brahms’s Lullaby and Home Sweet Home. We love the double-sided colour-coded rhythms cards, which made playing music extremely easy (all we need is to follow the sequence by patting on the bells of corresponding colours).

(2) Wooden Tapping Knobs - I did a review on Pat Bells Shelf from the same brand on 19 January this year, where I mentioned about the slight peeling-off of paints at the top of the bells. There is no such issue with this set of Pat Bells as they are covered with wooden tapping knobs, so I think this set is more superior in terms of durability and colour-retention.

(3) Storage Box - The storage box is top notched and I love how it is cushioned with quality packing foam. Each bell can be snugly inserted into the encased space, and I really love how sturdy the red box looks. The box also has a nicely fitted lid and carrying handles for convenient portability.

I love these pat bells!

Ocean Stacking Cups, By Jellystone Designs - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Open ended, multi-purpose silicone toy for kids!

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  9 month-old ++

Who would love this: Kids with imaginations - the possibilities are almost endless!

Some toys require careful setting-up and meticulous study of rules, but some, need no explanation and have limitless play possibilities. This “Ocean Stacking Cups” by Jellystone Designs belongs to the latter: open-ended, multi-purpose, squeezable and oh-so-much-fun!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) 5 Stacking Cups + 5 Treasure Coins - The set includes 5 stacking cups and 5 treasure coins. Simple, unassuming, but so versatile and full of surprises! Place the items before the kids, sit back, relax, and watch them inspire you with their boundless play ideas. The girl loves to include these bowl-like pieces in her pretend kitchen, serving up matching treasure coin “donuts” with them. She also loves building sculpture by stacking the cups high in the order of descending size. These cups also make amazing bath toy with cut-out holes that create interesting water drizzling-down effect. We also love building dome-shaped sandcastles using them, and stamping marine images on our sensory playdough. You can also sort them, match them, nest them, hide objects under them (and play “guess what’s under”), or simply use them as containers. The possibilities are almost endless!

(2) Marine Animals - I love the beautiful ocean-inspired design. Each of the cup features different marine animal; 3 graceful whales on the largest cup, follows by 3 teeth-showing sharks, 3 turtles, 3 happy-looking octopuses, and 3 crabs (two half-hidden in shells). Each has mini-cutouts patterns at the top for added textural feel. The 5 treasure rings have imprints with different number of fishes; our white ring (that matches the largest cup) has 5 fishes on it, and our mint-colour ring (that matches the smallest cup) has only 1 fish on it. We love the sea creatures theme!

(3) Colour Range Options - The stacking cups come in several colour range options; ours is the “Ocean” range - quiet and calming in white, cloudy grey, darker shark grey, navy blue and sweet turquoise / mint. If you prefer something bold and sharp, the “Rainbow Bright” range is for you!

(4) Silicone Material - Jellystone Designs uses FDA (Federal Drug Administration) approved silicone, and its products are in compliance with Australian standard for toy safety.

Farm Animals Set, by PlanToys - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Beautiful farm animals, sustainably made using compressed sawdust

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  12 month-old ++

Who would love this: Parents looking for sustainably-made toys. This is a great first "farm animals set" for young kids.

In this modern age where electronic and visually-stimulating toys seem to occupy a huge proportion of the toys market, it’s refreshing to see something simple, unassuming, timeless, and not “overdoing” it, like this “Farm Animals Set” from PlanToys .

Why I love ❤️ this set:

(1) Beautifully Crafted Farm Animals - These farm animals are adorably chubby and heart-meltingly cute. Included is a bright pink, short-legged piglet (that reminds me of a classic “piggy bank”) with a nice flat snout. The wooly white sheep is probably my personal favourite; clouds-like, gentle-looking, and gives a calm quiet aura. The brown horse is a handsome fellow with thick black mane. There is also a black-and-white Holstein cow with distinctive spotted markings. They have an inexplicable “softness” in them, with zero sharp edges, smooth and solid to hold in hands. Each of the animal has a visible middle parting lines, each side symmetrical and identical to the other. My three-year-old thinks these figurines are gorgeous; my six-year-old wishes they can “do a bit more”. I feel that most kids would probably outgrow this toy pretty soon, but the great thing is, these animals has a “timeless” and heirloom character. They will stay as a beautiful decorative item for a long time, and can be passed down from one family to the next easily.

(2) Sustainably Manufactured Using "PlanWood" - I love the sand-like pigment and the rustic-feel of these animals. These figurines are made of “PlanWood” - a sustainable material made from surplus sawdust and wood pieces, compressed under high pressures and heat, and added with organic colour pigments during the composite process. When you see a PlanToys, you think about sustainability, child-safe guarantee, and environmental-friendly.

(3) Imaginative Play - These animals are lovely additions to any story-telling settings, especially one involving a good old farm. I think they make perfect first animals toy for young kids. I have previously written about the “Wild Animals Set”, that has quite a similar style to these farm animals. These farm animals would go beautifully-compatible to the wild animals, and make some great characters in any fable and fairy-tales with cheeky twists!

Wild Animals Set, by PlanToys - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Beautiful animal figurines made of compressed sawdust

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  12 month-old ++

Who would love this: Kids who enjoy imaginative play/ AND parents looking for sustainable toys

I love watching my kids in their “small little world” moments; the way they hilariously staging their animal figurines, making funny voices, and narrating a story of “The Friendly Lion King”, “Gingerbread Man of another version”, and the New Jungle Tale.  If you are looking for some animal friends for your small world creations, this PlanToys “Wild Animals Set” is an adorable choice!

Why I love ❤️ this set:

(1) 4 Beautifully-Crafted Wild Animals - This set includes 4 wild animal figurines - cute, curvy, baby-like, sleek, and unmistakably, PlanToys. You get a bright orange lion with majestic big ears and brown thick mane; yellow giraffe with stylish “starfish” hairstyle and three dark spots on each side; a remarkable blue elephant, and a stripy zebra with neat black mane. I love their “soft roundness”, the solid texture for little hands, and zero sharp edges. I love the balanced symmetry of the figurines with visible middle parting lines, and the words “PlanToys” printed on them. These are genuine, simple toys for young kids - nothing “extraordinary”, no sparkly details, no adjustable joints. Just 4 attractive-looking, small-sized figurines, bright and smooth, heart-meltingly sweet. The kids would probably outgrow them really soon, but these are timeless gifts that would stay and endure for a long time.

(2) PlanWood - The sand-like pigment and the rustic-feel of these animals are the unmistakable signature of “PlanWood” - a sustainable material made from surplus sawdust and wood pieces, compressed under high pressures and heat, and added with organic colour pigments during the composite process. You can’t stop loving PlanToys for its environmentally-friendly, child-safe  productions.

(3) Perfect for Imaginative Play - Our three-year-old finds these animals a lovely addition to her story-telling settings; this is an awesome first animals toy for small kids, and can be easily incorporated into any imaginative play. The great thing is, PlanToys also produces other similar sets that go beautifully compatible with these “Wild Animals set” such as the Farm Animals set and Dinosaur Set. They would make a great team in any story-telling sessions!

TriBlox, By Jellystone Designs - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Silicone stacking + number-learning blocks

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  12 month-old ++

Who would love this: Any small kids (especially those that love sensory play and tactile toys)

Silicone toys transcend all ages. They are addictively squishy, squashy, and squeezable. I’m so glad to receive this irresistible and extremely engaging Jellystone Designs TriBlox for a review, and I can’t wait to share about this with you today!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) 9 Triangular Blocks - Included within are 9 triangular blocks that can be stacked and arranged in so many ways and combinations. Our three-year-old giggled with such joy while creating her unique rainbow pyramid (you need all 9 triangular blocks to build that), “BIG” flavours pizza, 9-tiered triangle cake, Imaginative zoo, and story-telling block-characters. These Triblox comes in 3 different range of colours: Rainbow Bright, Pastel, and Earth. We got a Rainbow Bright version, which is VERY awesome because our girl is obsessed with everything rainbows-related. Each of this block is hollow from the bottom, which provides fantastic potential for sand, water and sensory play! We love the tactile, light weight and squeezable feel of these silicone blocks; this toy is marvellous to train-up hand-eye coordination for young toddlers, and is also very entertaining for older kids who have unrestrained creativity!

(2) Numbers & Counting - Our three-year-old loves doing her counting up to 10; she’s delighted when she realised that the blocks each has a number (1 to 9) on it with corresponding textured illustrations on the other side. For example, the yellow block has a single rainbow on one side and the numeral “1” on the other side; the darker green block has nine stars and the numeral “9” on it. I love the nature-inspired illustrations such as clouds, bumblebees, raindrops, leaves, flowers, birds etc.

(3) Toxic-Free Silicone - Jellystone Designs’ Sensory Play range is made of toxic-free silicone and is free from nasties (BPA, PVC & Phthalates). I love that the material is easily-cleanable using warm soapy water, and is also dishwasher safe.

(4) Drawstring Bag Included - These TriBlox come in a very smartly designed cardboard box that keeps the blocks organised in a pyramid stack. But if you want a quick and easy pack-up, the set also includes a cotton drawstring bag for storage. We love this thoughtful little touch!

Butterfly Knob Puzzle, By Qtoys - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Thick & Chunky Butterfly Wooden Puzzle

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  1 - 3 year-old

Who would love this: Young kids! I think this is a beautiful "starter puzzle" for small children.

It’s hard to resist a beautifully-crafted wooden puzzle, especially when it’s coming from a brand that is known for its sustainable quality. We found this Qtoys “Butterfly Knob Puzzle” from our local toy library recently, and we were instantly captivated by its beauty.

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) 9 Pieces Puzzle - Mr Butterfly sure has his attitude! Arms crossed and with a smug (but friendly) grin, it’s as if Mr Butterfly is eagerly waiting for kids to take up the puzzle challenge and brace themselves for some entertaining logic test! This puzzle has 9 removable pieces. There is an “obvious” six-legged yellow body that would be positioned right at the middle, separating two pairs of stunning wings of symmetrical patterns (4 puzzle pieces on each side). First, the kids would need to match up 4 sets of two “identical” pieces that have the same shape and size. However, as the pattern of the corresponding pieces are painted in “mirror image”, the kids would need to figure out which of it belongs to the left and which other belongs to the right. What you need is a use of visual discrimination, and a little of trials-and-errors.

(2) Base With Outline - The base shows the black outline of the shape of the puzzle pieces, which is a nice touch to provide some hints to the kids on where a particular puzzle piece should be placed. I love it gives kids an opportunity to “self-correct”. I love that the puzzle is easy, with a hint of challenge, but not overly complicated.

(3) Bright Colours - I love  the “daring” use of colours. The wings are in red/ brown, blue/ yellow, black/ white, and green/ pink. They are vibrantly attractive!

(4) Solid & Chunky - The base and the puzzle pieces are very chunky (and probably the thickest type I have ever seen). The base is a little heavy and solid. I love the smoothly-polished knobs on each puzzle pieces. I love how the knobs seem to “blend in” beautifully into the wings design and give a “3D dots” element to them. The round pegs are useful for training up pincer grasp skill of young kids.

(5) Safety Compliance - Qtoys are made of plantation timber using non-toxic, child-safe materials, and are in-compliant with strict safety standards.

Magicube 32 Pieces, By Geomag - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Gorgeous Magnetic Blocks / Cubes

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  1- 5 year-old

Who would love this: Anyone! These blocks are just super FUN to play with.

Few months back, we tested out and wrote about Geomag Magicube 13 pieces - the basic and smaller set that shows us how simplicity can captivate us with hours of fun! Today, I’m going to talk about Magicube 32 pieces and tell you how this massive set of blocks unleashes the full potential of building creativity of our little people!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) Limitless Possibilities - Magicube is, as per its name, magically enchanting with its gravity defying ability and six-sided invisible magnetic attachment, enabling the blocks to do more than just the traditional vertical tower built. Included within are 26 magnetic building blocks in 4 different shapes (cubes, quarter circles, triangles, and half-sphere), 2 wheelbases, 4 rolling wheels in two different sizes, and an idea sheet. The colours are stunningly eye-catching - dark green, lime green, dark orangey yellow, red, blue, white, and grey for the wheels. The 13 pieces set has always been highly popular in our family, but this 32 pieces set elevates the degree of imaginative fun to a whole new level! We built easy models such as a 6-piece boat, miniature car, and rainbow whale. We then challenged ourselves with something more sophisticated like the Trojan horse, pyramid (with a giant sphere sitting right on the tip), an hourglass (with a sphere hanging in the midst of the arch structure). The kids also built something “crazy” and unconventional, outside of the suggested models in the idea sheet. It was a non-stop process of constructing and deconstructing, and none of us could get enough of these stimulating blocks!

(2) Great For Young Kids - I love how chunky and feathery-light these cubes are. They have zero-polarisation restriction and are easy to connect. The magnets attach well, but not too strong, which is fantastic for little hands to pull the cubes apart independently with zero frustration.

(3) 100% Recycled Plastics - The blocks are manufactured from 100% recycled plastics, which is a BIG PLUS as an eco-friendly choice!

(4) Quality + Standard - The Magicube pieces are made in Switzerland. They are sturdy, durable, and comply with the strictest European and International safety standards - another BIG plus!

We LOVE it!

Who would love this: Young kids that love building blocks!

Building blocks are classic, timeless, and never run out of style. But when we combine traditional blocks with magnetic charm, they become MAGIC! Geomag recently sent us a set of Magicube 13 pieces for review - once again, it’s proven that we don’t need anything too complicated to keep the kids enchanted with hours of fun.

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) 100% Recycled Plastic- Magnetic blocks are no stranger in the toy market, but I think what really sets Magicube apart is the assurance of sustainability - the blocks are manufactured from 100% recycled plastics and contained in a packaging made of 80% recycled PET. With all the debates around plastic toys and going green, I think this is a BIG PLUS.

(2) Magnetic Blocks + 6 Sided Attachment - The set comes with 13 magnetic pieces with six-sided attachment for free-style building (in other words: gravity defying and not just the usual vertical build!). You get 4 rolling wheels, 2 wheel bases, 2 cubes, 2 quarter circles, 2 half-cubes, and a half-sphere. They are chunky, light-weight, easy to connect with no polarisation restriction. I love the harmonised colours in dark green, lime green, bright yellow, white, and grey. I wasn’t too sure initially about the value of this toy: with the wheels fitted onto the bases, there are essentially just 9 separate pieces for the kids to do their mix and match. But any doubt about this toy soon vanished: my three-year-old LOVES it! She was completely engrossed playing with them. It was a non-stop process of building, destructing, repeating. The creative possibilities are (surprisingly) almost limitless! The magnets attach well but are not too strong, and produce an addictive clicking sound when connected. It’s easy to be pulled apart by toddlers without much frustration. I also love the illustrated idea sheet for inspiration.

(3) Wheels In 2 Different Sizes- I love that the four wheels come in two different sizes, which gives the creations some unique dynamics and angles.

(4) Quality- The toy is made in Switzerland; the quality control is top-notch with smooth finishes and good material. Geomag manufacturing complies with the strictest European and International safety standards - another BIG plus!

Love this!
