Magbrix Magnetic Brick Tile (8 Pieces Set), By Magblox

Nature/ Type:          Innovatie Lego-Compatible Magnetic Tiles

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  3 year-old ++

Who would love this: Construction-toy lovers (including all Lego lovers!!!)

Magbrix has been in my “must-review” list for a long while. Oh that JOY when I saw these Magbrix Magnetic Brick Tile (8 Pieces) Sets in our box of treasure sent over by The Curated Parcel ! I am sincerely grateful and in awe with the selection of toys. Today, I’m going to share with you why Magbrix makes me so super HAPPY!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) Super Innovative! Imagine combining two greatest things into one: traditional building bricks and modern open-ended magnetic tiles. That’s Magbrix for you! Magbrix is an Aussie-owned brand, and its key feature is the compatibility with Lego/Duplo (and other similar types of building bricks). Magbrix has 2 surfaces; the tubes on the bottom of a Lego brick can interlock with the studs on one surface of Magbrix, and the top part of a Lego brick can couple with and wedged in between the “tubes” on the other side of the tile. These tiles are awesome material to create “complicated” structures that usually requires Master-level Lego technical skills. We built an apartment block with open-view; we constructed a villains-headquarter where dangerous meeting was held in the secretive room with ammunition; we created a gravity-defying universe where people walk on wall and traffic light hung upside down like a chandelier. We love this innovative “fusion” with clever interlocking design. This toy brings construction play up another level. Pure genius!

(2) Stunning Colours- The 8 pieces set comes with 8 diverse-coloured Magbrix Tiles. 4 solid colours (purple, orange, green and grey) and (my personal favourite) 4 slightly translucent type. They look absolutely gorgeous under the light.

(3) Compatibility - Magbrix is compatible with most other magnetic tiles of popular brands, so if you are thinking of expanding the possibilities of your basic magnetic tiles collection, then Magbrix can give it a fun, brilliant twist.

(4) Safe Material- Quality wise, Magbrix is made of 100% safe ABS plastic, food-grade non-toxic, BPA and phthalate-free materials. The toys is safe, durable, secured with multiple injection points, and with reasonably strong magnets.

Tiny Tot Money Set, By Plant & Pear Co

Nature/ Type:          Wooden money based on real Aussie currency

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  3 year-old ++

Who would love this: Pretend play lovers + parents who need a great tool to teach about money!

If you are looking for anything heirloom, artistically delightful, and melts-your-heart in the sweetest way, then The Curated Parcel is your perfect spot for this! We love the range of products stored in this dreamworld of toys, including this Plant & Pear Co “Tiny Tot Money Set”. This is literally one of the VERY BEST pretend money toys I have EVER seen!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) Original-Designed Aussie Pretend Money- This is a one-of-kind Aussie-specific pretend money toy that is rare to find in market! The design of the cash and coins are based on real Australian currency, with meticulously and beautifully laser etched details. The 5 cent coin has a picture of a quill-covered echidna, 10 cent is an ostentatious lyrebird. The platypus image on the 20 cents is a bit hard to discern, just like the real coin where the elusive creature is half-hidden in the swirl of water. The largest 50 cent coin is a 12-sided polygon displaying the Commonwealth Coat of Arms - a shield held by our very native kangaroo and emu! The 1 dollar coin has a picture of 5 kangaroos, and 2 dollar is an image of an aboriginal man and the 5-star constellation of Southern Cross.

Queen Elizabeth II and a small branch of Eucalyptus are shown on the $5 banknote, poet Dame Mary Gilmore on $10, Reverend John Flynn (the aerial medical service pioneer) on $20, and the indigenous inventor and writer David Unaipon on the $50. YES, each of the money items mimic the real Australian currency, and it’s really fun to put the real things side-by-side with the toy for actual comparison!

(2) Wooden Material- I have seen various paper cash and plastic coins types, but never have I seen a pure wooden one! We love this durable, handmade-in-Australia, sustainable timber product!

(3) Awesome Tool To Learn About Money- This toy matches perfectly with the “Tuck Shop Juice Bar” set I shared previously (also available from The Curated Parcel ). The set includes 2 sets each of 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and an organised storage tray. I love the Australian-specific denominations, making this the FANTASTIC educational resource to teach kids about value of money, buying and selling, in actual Aussie currency units!

LOVE IT! ❤️

Tuck Shop Juice Bar, by Plant & Pear Co

Nature/ Type:            Handmade wooden pretend play toys

Rating:                       ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:   3 year-old ++

Who would love this: Cafe and Tuck Shop - any kids who love an imaginative play!

The Curated Parcel is a dreamworld of every parents and kids- it’s shining with everything carefully selected, all the exciting brands that I would love to share about! One of my favourites is this “Tuck Shop Juice Bar” from Plant & Pear Co - enchanting, beautiful, and of heirloom quality!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

(1) Uniquely- Designed- Like it or not, the toys market is saturated with low-priced imitations and discounted “knock-off toys”. We thirst for originality, crave for inspirations. This toy is unique, extraordinary, “unlike anything else” that we have ever seen. The cartons of beverages are distinctive in style; The milk carton is a fashionably tall-rectangular package with a tilted side, completes with a screw cap at the top; the lemonade juice box is a half-slanted carton with a round screw cap. The strawberry milk box reminds me of a classic gable top carton, and I’m loving the adorable straw sticking out from the side. The orange and apple juice boxes are in simple cuboid form with an irresistibly cute straw on the top of each! I love that the toys are in their unpainted, natural state. They are artistically pleasing and heart-meltingly beautiful!

(2) Laser-Engraved Labels- I love the laser-engraved labels on the drink cartons. The illustrations are visually discernible. Kids can easily tell the drinks apart even if they have yet to learn the words. I love the meticulous details and the classic milk bar feel.

(3) Menu With Price List - You gotta love the tuck shop menu and its standing holder! It looks spectacular on the “ordering counter”. It’s also an awesome mathematics-learning resource for money counting. I love the decimal numbers of the prices: Apple juice costs $1.35 and lemonade is $2.80. The set goes fantastically with the “Tiny Tot Money” set, also available from The Curated Parcel (I will talk about this toy next time because it deserves a separate post on its own). I love that this toy is educational and versatile.

(4) Made in Australia Wooden Toy- The toy is handmade in Australia, crafted from wood, and comes with a sturdy cardboard storage box.

This “Tuck Shop Juice Bar” set is available for purchase from The Curated Parcel . This is a really great toy!
