If you love card games, you’ve got to check this out! Swipee is our latest obsession - fast-paced, addictive, and completely unstoppable. What’s more - the game was invented by three Australian kids in a Year 5 classroom, and since then, the game has grown far and beyond! 

Why I love ❤️ it: 

(1) Swap, Trade, Or Discard - Clear All Cards To Win!

To play - each player lays out a 3×3 grid of cards, and on their turn, they can move one card — either by swapping it horizontally or vertically within their grid, or by trading with an opponent. The other player can refuse a trade unless it gives both players exactly 3 of the same cards. Players can also discard unwanted cards to the discard pile and draw new ones. But watch out - your opponent can also take from the discard pile if they think it’ll help their hand! The aim is to line up three identical cards in a row or column, clearing those cards from your grid. The first player to clear all their cards wins.

(2) Wild Cards To Shake Things Up

No great card game is complete without a few wild cards to shake things up. Swipee includes several special cards. The Rainbow Card can transform into any Character card, but once a character is chosen, it stays that way for the rest of the game — so choose wisely! Then there are the Steal Cards (our favourite), which let you snatch a card from another player’s layout. And finally, the dreaded Wipeout Card — it clears an entire row or column from your grid, forcing you to draw three new cards from the pile. It can flip your strategy in an instant!

(3) Every Move Matters - Great Balance Between Luck vs Strategy

Swipee strikes a great balance between luck and strategy. Every move matters! You don’t want to give away a card your opponent needs, but sometimes you have no choice. The character you choose for your Rainbow Card will define your path of the match. Timing and observation are everything. It’s simple enough for kids to grasp, yet full of clever decision-making that keeps things exciting

(4) Cute Emoji Graphics

We love the cute emoji graphics! We can’t help but laugh when the smiley poo 💩 shows up, and the heart-eyes 😍, sleepy 😴, dizzy 😵, robot 🤖, and cool 😎 emojis are instant favourites. Plus, all the cards come neatly packed and perfectly sized for travel.

“Periodic Table” used to bring back my school-day nightmares… never in a million years did I think I’d be hooked on exploring the mysterious 118 chemical elements 😆 But Best Learning i-Poster: My Periodic Table is simply unreal!

Why I love ❤️ it: 

(1) Learn 118 Chemical Elements With A Smart Talking Poster

In short: this is a TALKING poster where you simply point to a button to learn. There are 3 mode buttons. “Element Name” mode — learn the element’s name, symbol, atomic number, and mass. For example, press on iron and it tells you it’s a chemical element with the symbol Fe, atomic no. 26, atomic mass 55.845. “Element Group” mode — eg press “Group 5” and it explains these are transition metals — thick, strong, and not easy to melt. “Elements Fun Facts” — my personal favourite! We learned that mercury is the only metal liquid at room temperature, and gold and copper are the only two metals that aren’t gray in their natural form. Mind blown! 

(2) Periodic Song- Learn The Basics & Fun Facts With A Catchy Tune

The BEST feature — the Periodic Table Song button! Such a catchy way to learn the basics. “The universe is made from atoms, and elements are things made of just one kind…” It gives a fun rundown of common elements and their uses — aluminum for planes, chlorine for swimming pools, helium for balloons. It even teaches how to read the table: left to right, hydrogen first, going down the row they get heavier by number.

(3) Three Quiz Modes + Hints Provided When You Got It Wrong

THREE quiz modes to match the learning modes! Level 1: Find an element by basic info — e.g. “Find the element with atomic mass 145.” Level 2: Group challenge — “Which group does Oganesson belong to?” Level 3: Fun fact detective — e.g. “Which element looks silver and shiny and is used to coat objects to prevent rust?” (Answer: nickel!) I love the gentle hints when you get it wrong! 

(4) Huge & Colourful Poster - Hang It On Wall / Lay It On Table

It’s HUGE! Lay it on a table or hang it on the wall. There’s a guide explaining atomic number, discovery year, symbol, plus neutron, proton & electron relationships. Each element shows if it’s solid, liquid (blue mark), gas (white mark), radioactive (neon green) etc. Bottom left explains group colours — eg dark blue (e.g. lithium) are alkali metals (soft & reactive). Bonus: volume control AND 3 AAA batteries included.

Why I love ❤️ it:

In short: this is a talking poster where you simply point to a body part to learn. The set comes with one electronic base “Body” poster plus three magnetically clip-on posters, and I really appreciate that 3 AAA batteries are included. To use it: press the big round Start button, then the Go button so it can identify the poster you’re using. From there, press any body part to learn more. For example, tap “Cerebellum” on the yellow Organs poster and you’ll learn it’s the brain region responsible for motor control - coordinating posture, balance, and movement. Press “Legs”, and it explains they’re weight-bearing structures (including the thigh, foot, and hip) and then dives into their functions: standing, walking, jumping, running, kicking, dancing. I love the age-appropriate details provided! 

(2) 4 Interchangeable Posters - Body, Organs, Bones, Muscles

It includes four interchangeable posters: Body, Organs, Bones, and Muscles. The Body poster acts as the magnetic base, with embedded corners that securely hold the others. Once you press Go, the poster is automatically detected. The Body poster is perfect for preschoolers, covering basics like hair, ear, neck, shoulder, and knee. Ready for more challenge? Organs introduces lungs, kidneys, pancreas, cerebrum, appendix, and more. Dragomino by Blue Orange is a cute, kid-friendly twist on the award-winning Kingdomino. It keeps all the fun of the original, with rules simplified just right for little gamers. We first tried it four years ago—and we love it even more now! Thank you VR Distribution for providing a copy. 

Why I love ❤️ this game: 

(1) Match Landscapes + "Crack Open" A Dragon Egg

Dragomino is easy to learn—even preschoolers can pick it up in minutes! Each turn, you pick a tile to grow your island and try to match the landscapes. Match them right, and you get to crack open a dragon egg! Will it be an adorable baby dragon or just an empty shell? The player who finds the most baby dragons wins! And if you find a shell, you get the Mommy Dragon token, which lets you go first next round—and scores you a bonus point at the end! No tricky math here—just count your dragons (plus one if you’ve got Mommy Dragon) to see who wins!

(2) Sneaky Strategy & Maths Lessons - Hiding In The Fun

There’s sneaky strategy hiding in all the fun! Kids quickly start noticing patterns—like how some landscapes seem to hatch more baby dragons than others. Every terrain has exactly 7 baby dragons, but the number of egg tokens (which include both dragons and empty shells) changes based on how common that terrain is on the dominoes. So terrains like forests have more egg tokens overall, but your chances of finding a dragon is lower. Rarer terrains, like the red volcanoes, have fewer total eggs, so the odds of scoring a dragon are higher! It’s a perfect little lesson in probability, cleverly disguised as dragon hunting. Kids soon started making strategic decisions, and even tracking which dragons have already been found to help decide what to pick next.

The artwork and quality are delightful! The tiles are made of sturdy, thick cardboard, and oh those baby dragons! - each have their own unique poses, expressions, and little personalities. It’s the kind of whimsical detail that sparks imagination and keeps everyone giggling.

I love when educational resources blend fun and learning seamlessly. We recently tried out the no.minoes from Tranquil Learning Collective, and I’m truly impressed. These dominoes are some of the most beautifully crafted resources I’ve ever seen. They make learning feel less like a task and more like a visual delight!

Why I love ❤️ it: 

(1) Multiplication Game With 28 Laser-Cut Dominoes 

This set includes 28 laser-cut dominoes that will really put your multiplication skills to the test! Each rectangular tile follows the classic domino format, with a line dividing it into two squares. One side features a multiplication equation or question, while the other offers a visual representation of the problem — large circles or groups, each containing equal number of smaller dots to illustrate the concept of multiplication. The challenge is to match the end of one domino to the corresponding equation or visual on another. It’s a clever, hands-on way to reinforce multiplication! My 5-year-old quickly understood the logic (counting the larger groups and smaller dots, then linking them to the equation) and had a blast matching up the tiles.

(2) Self-Checking Feature - Form A Circular Chain When Paired Correctly

What I love about these tiles is the self-checking feature: when paired correctly, the dominoes form a continuous circular chain, connecting the last tile back to the first. It’s such a satisfying and intuitive way to ensure accuracy. I also appreciate how versatile these tiles are for reinforcing key math concepts. By physically manipulating the dominoes, kids get to engage with the material in a hands-on way. This busy book offers a rich variety of 15 hands-on activities in simplified Mandarin. The book covers a mix of engaging exercises, including topics like animals, shapes, numbers, and the first 20 Chinese characters. We enjoy sorting waste and matching items to recycling bins (e.g., banana peel 香蕉皮 to “green waste” 堆肥), learning about measure words (like 一片面包, “a slice of bread”), grouping types of vegetable based on whether it’s a root vegetables (such as 土豆 potato) or those that grow above soil (such as 番茄 tomatoes). I especially LOVE the emotions page, where children match cute emoji symbols to corresponding Mandarin words. The book features 136 small, movable cards for children to match with the correct words. 

(2) Mandarin Words With English Translations

The book features Mandarin words alongside English translations. For example, on the body parts page, children match Mandarin words like 头 (“head”) and 手 (“hand”) to their English equivalents. The activities also include instructions in English, such as “match the vehicles to the correct places,” and shape-matching exercises where kids pair a shape like “hexagon” with its Mandarin equivalent 六边形. At the back of the book, a vocabulary list provides simplified Mandarin words, their English translations, and pinyin.

I’m thrilled to see how much enjoyment the kids can have while sharpening their speed and precision!

Why I love ❤️ this toy:

This set includes 1 black Jack dart, 6 Tossit darts in two colors, and a carrying bag. The game is a fun mix of pétanque and darts, where players take turns tossing their darts to get as close as possible to the Jack (a special Tossit dart). Each team has 3 darts, and the goal is to reach 13 points. The team with the closest Tossit to the Jack wins the round and scores a point for every dart closer than the opponent’s closest.
