Bioviva - The Game, By Bioviva - REVIEW

Nature/ Type:          Trivia Game / Board Game

Rating:                     ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Recommended age:  8 year-old ++

Who would love this: Adults and kids that love fun facts about nature/ environment

“Bioviva - The Game” from Bioviva is for the SERIOUS trivia fans with in-depth knowledge about nature. If you are a nature enthusiast who knows (or interested to know) about salamander, atmospheric temperature, and carnivorous plants, then this game is for YOU! (Thank you Divisible by Zero for providing this!)

Why I love ❤️ this game:

(1) Trivia Game In The Form Of Strategy Board Game

Bioviva is a trivia game, but packaged with refreshing rules and strategic moves. Unfold the solid game board, you will see a world map with clearly-marked grid of vertical and horizontal lines. Each continents are further divided into different natural regions (for example, a darker green area represents “wet tropical forest”, and sandy yellow area is marked as “deserts”). To win this game, players roll a die, move a particular number of squares on the map (in any chosen directions), answer a question correctly, and aim to collect “Eco Points” of the right colours as specified on the destination card. I love the little strategy element incorporated into a “pub quiz”game.

(2) Trivia Game With 800 Fun Facts/ Questions (About Nature/ Environment)!

The game includes a total of 800(!) detailed question cards, complete with answers and explanations. The questions are fascinating, obscure, and oh-so-tough. This is not your usual “feel-good” quiz of general knowledge. The questions are specific, and often zoom into the rare and unusual subjects. “Which birds are capable of singing 60 different melodies?”,“Which is the only reptile capable of moving each eyeball separately?”. Sometimes you get multiple choices; sometimes, it is “true” or “false”.

(3) Love The Fun Eco-Point Cards

If a question is correctly answered, the player is entitled to an Eco-Point Card which sets out a scenario, follows by the Eco-Points that a player is earning (or losing). For example, a player earns 2 points for not using pesticide in garden, but loses a point for dumping old fridge in a ditch. The cards are fun to read, give us a few laughs, and teach us about environmental-protection in a subtle way.

(4) Board Game Made of Recyclable Material

The game is designed and manufactured in France. The components are made from recycled materials and is recyclable, and printed using vegetable-based inks. The pawns and die are made of certified wood sourced from sustainable forests.
