Who would love this: Quick table game / board game lovers

Remember the nostalgic game of Tic-Tac-Toe? Noughts and crosses, paper-and-pencil, 3x3 grid? Leisure Learning recently sent us a super intriguing game called Pentago which reminds us of Tic-Tac-Toe, but MUCH BETTER! It has a cool game board, beautiful components, and a (literal) “TWIST” in the rules!

Why I love ❤️ this game:

(1) Twistable Game Board - This very ingeniously designed game comes with a rules book, a 6x6 board comprises of four twistable 3x3 sub-boards, 18 blacks marbles, 18 white marbles, and a lid. Just like a classic Tic-Tac-Toe where 2 players race to get a row of 3 “X” or “O”; in Pentago, the object is to create a row of 5 marbles of the same colours, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, that spans across two spin-able quadrants. The only obvious twist: each time when you place a marble, you need to rotate one of the four moveable squares by 90 degrees, either clockwise or anti-clockwise. This twisting move often dynamically and unexpectedly changes the entire outcome of the game. The concept is deceptively simple, yet perplexingly complex.

(2) Awesome Game Components - The components are seriously, truthfully beautiful! The black and white glass marbles are cold and smooth, solid and weighty. The board comes with an aesthetically-pleasing red translucent lid that keeps all marbles securely stored within the board for convenient portability. The board and the inward part of the lid have indentions in them to hold the marbles snugly. Each moveable sections of the board can effortlessly slide out and rotate towards either direction. The components are incredibly durable, well-made, and appealing to the eyes!

(3) Quick Game - Pentago makes an amazing family game, with simple rules that can be leant within minutes. My five-year-old loves it, I love it. It’s an educational, logical, easily-graspable abstract strategy game that can grow with the kids. It has fantastic replay value, takes just minutes to complete each round, and can be enjoyed by the entire family. I love that this game involves an excellent mix of strategy, planning, foresight, reaction, unpredictability, and hint bit of luck.
