Funyards Australia has a range of innovative STEM solar-powered range that thrillingly demonstrate the seamless transformation from light energy to mechanical movement. What I love most is that each of these kits has some unique features that make us excited; we probably would never get tired of assembling these marvellously-designed crafting kits, and watching the beautiful structures come into “life”! Today, I’m going to talk about this “Bulldozer” set that we really love!
Why I love ❤️ this toy:
(1) STEM-Focused Craft Kit - Similar to the other Funyards solar-powered collections, this set comes with wooden sheets with removable laser-cut plywood pieces, axles for the wheels, motor, battery holder, solar-powered panel, and an illustrated guide. Similar to most of the other models, this set took both mumma and six-year-old team around 45 minutes to complete, from pushing the wooden pieces out, connecting them, and finally, testing out the final construction using both solar-panel and battery! I am impressed with how perfectly the pieces clicked and fitted together, without the need of glue or scissors. The rotating motor attached to each of the two back wheels of the bulldozer. The wheels spin and push the bulldozer forward when placed under direct sunlight, and I love that we can also substitute the solar-panel with battery when playing indoor! We love watching the conversion of light energy (or battery chemical energy) into electrical energy in a visually-exciting way!
(2) Great Instructions With Illustrations - The step-by-step guide is easy to follow with clear illustrations and labels. The building process is not overly difficult, but challenging enough to keep both the mumma and son team entertained! The final structure is sturdy and looks awesome!
(3) Details - I love the meticulous design and careful details of the vehicle; the liftable blade at the front, bucket teeth, lift arms with joints, outer frame, mini steering wheel and operator seat in the cab.
(4) Compact Box - I love the compact flat-pack box made of eco-friendly and recyclable cardboard - light weight, exquisite, simple, minimalist, and makes such elegant gift!
