I love puzzles, decoding secret messages, unlocking doors, and uncovering clues. This Medium Construction Sensory Board from Flax + Grove reminds me of a kid-version escape room: it’s a series of brain stimulating and dexterity challenges, one engaging activity after another, all beautifully incorporated in one pinewood board.

Why I love ❤️ this toy: 

(1) Quality Design - The 40cm x 40cm board is lovingly crafted with appealing sensory activities: LED flip switch, spirit level with liquid, tape measure with rubberised case, wooden 3-blade fan, secret “tools” storage case, door latch completes with padlock and keys, abacus with counting beads and rings, fidget spinner, wooden construction pieces (nuts, bolts, rods, and wrench) nicely organised in a wood holder. The kids were thrilled exploring and discovering the delightful surprises. They were mesmerised by the momentum of the spinner, the “light-up”, the unlocking challenge, and building activities. I love how the board incorporates a mixture of real gadgets and wooden sensory toys. It is aesthetically pleasing, attractive to kids, and of heirloom quality. 

(2) Handmade & Customised - Each board is handmade with love and care. Flax + Grove products can be customised and designed based on customer’s requests. We can choose from a selection of small cubes / travel bars, to small/ medium/ large boards. You can specifically ask for sensory objects that spin, shut / open, rattle, latch, slide, tap and [insert: let your imagination runs wild], or add an adjustable stand for the board.
